Impact of Remote Learning at Clarkston Bible Institute

This school year 2020 – 2021 (fourth year) began on August 3, and we are taught live and remotely simultaneously. We began with seven live and two remote students!

We are thankful for each student, since due to COVID-19, we were not able to do our normal recruiting. God has brought us a very special class of five Burmese students, two African Americans, one from Iraq, and one white Caucasian from New Jersey. They attend class regularly and are very engaged.

The young lady from New Jersey learned about Clarkston Bible Institute from a missionary who spoke in her church. She is planning to serve the Lord overseas with Pioneers, and when she learned Clarkston Bible Institute would meet the Bible requirements for Pioneers, she applied and moved to Clarkston. You will be encouraged to know that one of our first year graduates has finished language school and is now serving the Lord in Chad with AIM. In addition, one of our third year graduates is preparing to serve the Lord in Cambodia with World Team.

One of our Burmese students is the son-in-law of one of our graduates and a leader in his church, and he recruited a friend to attend with him. Another Burmese student attends the same church as one of last year’s graduates, which is a couple of hours drive from our school. She began attending remotely but because the courses were important to her, she moved to the Atlanta area so she could attend classes in person. Another Burmese learned about Clarkston Bible Institute from one of our instructors and also recruited a friend. One of the African Americans is interested in starting something like Clarkston Bible Institute in the African American community. He says our classes are life changing and what he has been desiring for a long time.

The person from Iraq has an amazing ministry with Muslims in the area. He has attended our classes via Zoom even though he has already finished the first five courses of our curriculum. He wants to finish the full ten-course curriculum to be better equipped. The African American who is attending remotely is ordained and wants to learn how to preach more effectively.

The students are telling us that Clarkston Bible Institute has helped them a lot. They tell us they now know how to study the Bible and have confidence to teach others. You can see that your partnership with Clarkston Bible Institute is making a big difference here and around the world in the lives of our students and graduates! Our targets for training are (1) ethnic pastors, (2) next generation church leaders, and (3) gap year students.

Clarkston Bible Institute is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity.
